How TrendCrypt collects, uses, and protects information when you read our content, contact us, use our safety resources, or visit pages that use analytics and affiliate links.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
TrendCrypt is an independent crypto safety and research website. We publish educational guides, wallet-safety explainers, scam warnings, crypto payment resources, platform research, responsible gambling content, crypto news, and transparent casino reviews.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit TrendCrypt, how we use that information, which third-party tools may help us measure website activity, and how you can contact us with privacy questions.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by TrendCrypt. For privacy questions, corrections, or general privacy requests, contact us at info@trendcrypt.com.
For safety reports, suspicious crypto platforms, phishing pages, scam patterns, wallet-drainer examples, or platform-risk concerns, contact trust@trendcrypt.com.
2. Website type
TrendCrypt is currently a read-only website. We do not currently provide user accounts, public comments, public profiles, crypto wallets, custody services, trading tools, gambling services, or payment processing.
Most visitors can read our content without directly submitting personal information to us.
3. Information we may collect automatically
When you visit TrendCrypt, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver pages, maintain availability, and help protect the website from abuse or security threats. This processing is separate from our optional analytics tools.
If you agree to optional analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog may also collect information about website usage. Depending on the provider and configuration, this may include:
- Pages viewed and navigation activity
- Approximate visit and session information
- Referring websites, search terms, campaigns, or links
- Browser, device, and operating system characteristics
- Approximate location derived from technical information
- Selected link interactions and website events
- Analytics identifiers associated with a browser or device
We use this information to understand reader interest, improve content and navigation, and identify technical issues. We do not require analytics consent to read our publicly available content.
4. Information you choose to send us
If you email TrendCrypt, submit a correction request, send a safety report, or contact us about a platform concern, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
This may include:
- Your name or contact details, if you provide them
- Platform URLs, complaint links, or screenshots
- Wallet addresses, transaction hashes, or contract addresses
- Support messages, timelines, or public complaint details
- Any other information included in your email
Do not send seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, authentication codes, full identity documents, or anything that could give access to your wallet, exchange account, casino account, email, or other services.
5. Safety reports and sensitive information
TrendCrypt may review reader-submitted safety reports, phishing examples, wallet-drainer patterns, suspicious platform claims, public complaints, or correction requests.
If you send a safety report, please redact private information where possible. We only need the information required to understand the pattern, such as URLs, screenshots, TXIDs, wallet addresses, public complaint links, support wording, or a short timeline.
We may use submitted information to investigate patterns, improve content, update safety guides, correct pages, or publish warnings. We may summarize or reference patterns without publishing private details where possible.
6. Analytics tools
TrendCrypt uses Google Analytics and PostHog to understand readership, page performance, traffic sources, and how visitors navigate our content. These analytics tools are optional and are intended to run only when you have enabled the Analytics preference.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags, including Google Analytics 4. After you
allow analytics, Google Analytics may receive page-view and event information, referring
sources, approximate location, and browser or device details. Google Analytics may use
first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.
Our consent-controlled setup keeps Google advertising consent settings denied. Other tags, if added to our tag manager in the future, will be assessed for the appropriate consent requirements before use.
PostHog
We use PostHog to measure page views and better understand navigation through TrendCrypt. If you allow analytics, we generate a random visitor identifier and store it in your browser to help recognize returning browsers. The identifier is not directly based on your name or email address, but it may still be considered personal data under applicable privacy laws.
Our current PostHog configuration disables session recordings and automatic interaction capture. Page views are recorded through our website's navigation tracking. PostHog may also use its own cookies or browser storage, depending on its SDK configuration.
We use PostHog's United States hosting endpoint. For more details about our analytics storage, retention periods, and controls, see our Cookie Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
TrendCrypt uses cookies and browser storage for essential preferences and, with your permission, website analytics. We distinguish between strictly necessary storage and optional Analytics storage.
Strictly necessary storage
The first-party cookie trendcrypt_cookie_consent remembers your analytics preference,
its version, and when it was saved. It is configured to remain valid for up to 180 days. Essential
infrastructure and security processing may also occur independently of optional analytics.
Optional analytics storage
If you accept Analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog may use cookies, local storage, and
similar technologies. We also store trendcrypt_visitor_id and trendcrypt_visitor_id_expiry in local storage for PostHog visitor identification. Our
website checks the identifier's 30-day expiry when it is used and generates a new one if necessary.
You can reject analytics or change your choice later using the Cookie Settings link in the footer or the button below. Withdrawing analytics permission stops future optional collection through our consent-controlled tools, but cannot automatically remove data already received by third-party analytics providers.
For specific cookie names, storage durations, and browser controls, read our Cookie Policy. Most TrendCrypt articles and guides remain available if you decline optional analytics.
8. Affiliate links and referral tracking
Some TrendCrypt pages contain affiliate or referral links. When you follow one, the destination website may receive referral parameters, campaign identifiers, and information normally transmitted when opening a link. We may measure selected outbound link clicks through our analytics tools only when analytics is enabled.
Third-party destinations may use their own cookies, identifiers, or tracking services under their own privacy policies. Your TrendCrypt cookie preference does not control processing by a separate website after you leave TrendCrypt.
Affiliate relationships do not control our editorial conclusions, safety warnings, review language, scores, rankings, or publication decisions.
9. How we use information
We may use information, as applicable, to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website
- Understand which guides, reviews, and safety pages readers find useful, where analytics is permitted
- Improve design, navigation, structure, speed, and readability
- Detect technical issues, abuse, spam, scraping, or security problems
- Respond to emails, correction requests, privacy questions, and safety reports
- Investigate scam patterns, platform-risk reports, or complaint trends
- Measure content performance and reader interest with consent-based analytics
- Support editorial decisions, updates, and website planning
10. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate, host, secure, measure, or improve TrendCrypt.
These providers may include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers
- Analytics providers
- Email and communication providers
- Security, performance, or debugging tools
- Affiliate or referral tracking partners, where applicable
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or when we believe it is necessary to protect TrendCrypt, our readers, our rights, website security, or others from harm, fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.
11. Third-party websites
TrendCrypt links to third-party websites, including crypto platforms, casinos, exchanges, wallets, regulators, blockchain explorers, social media pages, analytics providers, public sources, news sites, and partner websites.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, services, availability, or actions of third-party websites.
Before using a third-party website, you should read its own terms, privacy policy, cookie policy, KYC policy, withdrawal rules, and risk disclosures where relevant.
12. Data retention
Our cookie consent record is configured to remain valid for up to 180 days. The locally stored TrendCrypt visitor identifier is checked against a 30-day expiry and replaced when it is next used after expiry, if analytics consent remains active.
Google Analytics and PostHog may use additional cookies or local storage with their own lifetimes. Browser storage lifetimes are not the same as provider-side data retention periods, which depend on our service settings and the providers' practices. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Email communications, safety reports, correction requests, and platform-risk reports may be retained as needed to respond to requests, review safety patterns, handle editorial issues, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
We try not to retain unnecessary sensitive information. Please avoid sending identity documents, wallet access details, or account credentials unless a specifically requested, safer and limited alternative is appropriate.
13. Security
We use reasonable measures to operate and protect the website. However, no website, email system, analytics tool, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should avoid sending highly sensitive information to TrendCrypt by email. Never send seed phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, authentication codes, full identity documents, or anything that could give access to your accounts or wallets.
14. Your choices
You can reject optional analytics when first visiting TrendCrypt and change your preference at any time. You do not need to agree to analytics to read our content.
You can open our settings dialog using the footer's Cookie Settings link or the button below. Withdrawing consent prevents future optional collection through our consent-controlled tools; it does not automatically erase information previously received by analytics providers.
You can also manage some collection by:
- Clearing or blocking cookies and local storage in your browser
- Using browser privacy controls and tracker-blocking tools
- Choosing whether to follow third-party or affiliate links
- Using any opt-out tools available from individual service providers
- Contacting us about privacy questions at info@trendcrypt.com
For cookie names, categories, and more details about managing preferences, see our Cookie Policy.
15. Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights related to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or complaints about how personal information is handled.
If you want to make a privacy request, contact us at info@trendcrypt.com. We may need enough information to verify and process the request.
16. Children’s privacy
TrendCrypt is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will review the request.
Some TrendCrypt content discusses crypto casinos, betting, gambling safety, or responsible gambling. That content is intended for adults who are legally allowed to access such information in their location.
17. International visitors
TrendCrypt may be accessed from different countries. Our hosting, analytics, email, and other service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
Data protection rights, international transfer rules, and required safeguards depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Merely visiting TrendCrypt does not constitute consent to optional analytics; that choice is managed separately through our cookie preference controls.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, tools, analytics setup, service providers, editorial workflow, or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
